After a life-changing allergic reaction left founder Emily Jefferson with food allergies, she struggled to understand what was hidden behind the word "spices."
Emily’s first love is cooking, but she found herself getting sick every time she opened her spice cabinet. Since the FDA does not require companies to list all ingredients in spice blends, it was very hard for her to figure out what was causing her reactions. So she made her own.

Named in honor of Emily's late father, James "Sentry" Dixon, a commercial fisherman who introduced her to seafood at an early age.

Are your seasonings low sodium?
Yes. All of our seasoning blends are low sodium and designed to deliver bold flavor without excessive salt. We believe you shouldn't have to choose between great taste and better ingredients.
Do your blends contain MSG?
No. None of our all-natural seasoning blends contain MSG. We focus on creating bold flavors using herbs, spices, and ingredients you can recognize.
Do your seasonings contain preservatives or artificial ingredients?
No. Our blends contain no preservatives, artificial dyes, anti-caking agents, fillers, or added sugars. We believe simple ingredients make the best seasonings.
Do you list every ingredient?
Yes. Every ingredient is clearly listed on the label because we believe you should know exactly what's in your food. Transparency has been at the heart of Avonya's Blends from the very beginning.
Are your seasonings gluten free?
Yes. Our seasonings are formulated to be gluten free, vegan, and Daniel Fast friendly. Even Sentry's Seafood Seasoning contains no seafood, making it a versatile blend everyone can enjoy.

Avonya's Blends was created with ingredient transparency in mind. Founder Emily Jefferson knows firsthand how frustrating it can be to navigate food allergies and hidden ingredients. Every ingredient is clearly listed so you can make the best decisions for yourself and your family. If you have specific concerns, we encourage you to review the ingredient list and reach out with any questions.
What is the shelf life for your seasonings?
Our seasoning blends do not expire, although you may notice a decrease in potency after 4 years. You may also notice the seasonings caking up over time, which is not an indicator of them going bad - just give them a good shake before use.
How long will it take for my order to be processed and shipped?
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1-5 business days. You'll receive tracking information once your order is on its way.
What is your return policy?
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If your package is lost in transit or your seasonings are damaged during shipping, we'll gladly resend your order. If there are any issues with your purchase, please email us at contact@avonyasblends.com.
